Here is our happy little Scoop
and his battered body.
It may look like nothing, but due to my lack of an awesome camera
or any skills to go with it
the pictures do not really show...
plus the REAL danger is what could be going on INSIDE, unseen anyway...

If you ever see these on the body, the tiny red dots
(NOT bumps like a rash, but tiny bruises under the skin)
get to a doctor and do not hesitate.

Except for appearing on the face
due to bad coughing and/or vomiting,
if they are on the rest of the body it is never a good thing.

His "uninjured" legs

A new accessory!

Chilling out at the children's hospital today.
He had a head CT to rule out any bleeding on the brain
(since he woke up with a low fever and vomited)
All came back clear.
His platelet count is up to 7 today
instead of 0 yesterday.
But keep in mind just last month it was
356.
So we will hope he continues to climb
bit by bit.
This morning's sickness is likely just a regular virus
which I also hope he shakes in a jiffy.

scary!!
but he is oh so cute! Keep up the good work Cooper.
Wow that is crazy. You expect the normal bruise with a little one, but not that many. I agree with Roccy, he is so cute!
I think those bruises look plenty bad! I'm so glad his platelet count is going up. Hopefully his body is all done attacking itself now! I'll continue to keep you guys in our prayers. Hugs.
I'm so sorry you guys have to go through this. It's must be very scary. Is he on steroids and IV immune globulin? If he is, giving steroids with milk or food might help the nausea if it isn't related to the virus. Time for quiet time activities I guess. That's so hard to do with a 2 yr old, isn't it!? 7 is still low so be careful. Brush those teeth soft and careful what he eats. If you need someone to watch your older kids I would be happy to. We are all healthy over here.
Crazy and scary! Hope the docs can figure out how to help poor 'Scoop'!
