Yay Me!

I will apologize in advance for the weeeee bit of bragging and/or selfish nature of this post. Sometimes it just happens :)

First, did you see yesterday I was featured on the Dollar Store Crafts website? If you don't read that one regularly - go right now! It is SUCH a fun one to browse all the archives and get fabulous cheap ideas for all sorts of things, silly and kid-friendly, all the way to surprisingly impressive!!! Although my little ornaments were nothing earth-shattering, I was so excited to be a part of one of my favorite sites. Woo hoo!

Second, I've been starting all the paperwork to get an insulin pump. This is a nifty device I get to wear (it looks just like a pager, then has a tube that comes out and attaches into me via a tiny needle) and it will deliver my insulin easily and continuously with the push of a button! Supposedly these things are like "sliced bread" when it comes to keeping your sugar levels under better control. Although it will take some getting used to, I'm hoping it will keep me far more healthy in the long run. Rumor is, they are extremely expensive. I was a little worried because though I knew I needed it, I wondered if we would be able to take on the huge cost right now. The best news is that I got a call today to inform me that our insurance approved to cover it 100%.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

I'm so glad the pump will be covered by your insurance! If you'd like, I'd be happy to give you an excuse to try it out! Pizookie anyone???

Yeah!!! The only thing better than receiving good news and being featured is having it right before Christmas. What a way to enjoy the holidays!
