Saturday night we continued one of our favorite new family traditions - fireworks at the funeral home! Every year we bring fresh cherries to eat on the grass while we watch the show, in addition to lots of drinks and snacks. The kids, and even the baby, had a great time playing and dancing to the DJ's music while we waited for the sun to set. Then we break out the glow sticks and they go crazy with those for a little while longer. When the fireworks started, Cooper was frightened by the cracks! but he quickly got used to it and actually enjoyed watching the sky light up.

I just had to include this picture because I loved his "deer in headlights" eyes!
Everybody's nice and sweaty, so there's nothing like free popcicles!
Here we are watching the fireworks, and Tucker is plugging his ears - HA!

The funeral home???
Fun! And does this happen every year? Open to any one? Cuz that's something we'd love!!
Where is this? I've never heard of that before, or it being so early. Pretty cool though! And Roccy, you'd have to stay in Arizona for the summer to do that. Hmmm... fireworks for one night or two months in the Hundred Acre Wood? Tough choice!
I ditto Angie's question... the funeral home???
How fun!!!
I didn't realize anyone did fireworks before the 4th. But that does explain why we saw a few of them on Sat. night.
What a fun tradition. You don't get to see fireworks all that often, so why not start early?? And why does the funeral home do this?
I know this has been said one thousand time so I will make it one thousand and one: Cooper looks so much like Mitchell!
Sounds fun!
