Have you missed me?

Oh hi, it's me!  I blinked... are we halfway through December already?  Crap.

It is actually shaping up to be a lovely holiday season, nicely contrasting from last year.  My Etsy shop has remained relatively empty (on purpose) and I'm not experiencing any other drama.  *quick glance of gratitude towards the heavens*  Thanksgiving was not too hard.  We had 40-ish people at our dinner (eek!) but the plus side of that was pllllllenty of people to split up the assignments.  I only had to cook one dish!  (A big huge one, but only one!)  We had people from the other side of the planet Earth in attendance, otherwise known as New Zealand.

Have you EVER seen such a massive spread?  It was good, too.

I also volunteered to do the tablecloths and centerpieces at the last minute.  I was aiming for something simple and FREE-ish.  These brown-bag turkeys, an idea I snagged off Pinterest, seemed so easy!  Do not be fooled, they were a pain in the butt, although they were giggle-worthy.

We got our family pictures taken by the ever-amazing Cherri.  Every year I'm really lucky to grab a session with her.  She doesn't work much, but when she does, oh boy!  Here's just a few...

P.S.  I love these guys.

Lovely pictures!! I especially love that last one - I'm so copying that pose someday!

Looks like you had a fun Thanksgiving. And I'm SO jealous of my little sister getting to meet you in person when I feel like I already know you so well and yet couldn't be there!

Very nice pictures! I like the length of your hair. Are you growing it out?
