P.S.

You were all so kind in your responses to the baby booties! I appreciate that! There were a few questions and suggestions in the comments that I felt like I needed to answer, so I'll just post it here so everyone can see.

You may have already clicked on the link to the free pattern, but not completely read through it. Since it was created by a famous designer (and then shared with everyone for FREE) the understanding/agreement is that you do not use it for personal gain. That means use it for yourself or gifts, but you can't sell what you make from it. BUMMER HUH?

So Melinda and Annalise, I wish I could, but I shouldn't list them in my Etsy shop.

Amy L - There is a Flickr group (if you search for "Bitty Booties") and there are a million examples and ideas of the other booties people have made. There are a VERY few boy types on there, but nothing that jumps out at me yet.

Debbie and Anna - I'd be glad to make you some! Anna let me know what color. Debbie -you'll have to measure Laney's tootsies and tell me if she'll still fit this pattern. It's pretty tiny, made especially for newborns. If they'll fit, tell me what color!!!

Deb (and anyone) - YES!!! They are extremely simple to make. Shockingly so. I would venture to say that the "shoe" part alone anyone could do even if they barely know how to work a sewing machine. It's the embellishing that takes a little time, although you can make them as simple or complex as you want!
