JUMP for Tucker!

Tucker is turning 7!

For his "friend" party, Tucker was ADAMANT about going back to the play center that we first visited on our Staycation. Since their party packages were a little ridiculous, I just created my own.

We paid for admissions but got the group rate.
(This place was as fabulous as we remembered it.)

Mom and Aunt Kim getting a little ridiculous.

After everyone had sweat a few buckets, we went outside for our quick snack before going home. This was part of my self-created party package... I was disappointed that they wouldn't let us bring in outside food. So I literally saved myself $105 (that's the REAL number) by bringing juice boxes and bags of goldfish to eat as we drove home. Genius!?!?

Back at the house we served up my generic cake, warbley handwriting and all, but ohhhhh it was fudgey goodness!

Tucker told me what he wanted written on the cake,
and he thought this up himself! So cute!

We opened his gifts before everyone got picked up to go home. I thought this one from big brother Mitchell was extremely sweet. As his gift to Tucker, he made this card that said they could play football everyday together for a whole week!

On Sunday, Tucker had a "family" party with my side. This is where we let him open his presents from us. Jason and I had been working on a fun idea for him, and we were SO excited to reveal it! The boy has been talking non-stop about robots lately. This t-shirt was just the precursor to the real thing...

Opening the box.... love that face!

We made him a "Build Your Own Robot" set, which we put together ourselves (obviously.) It's like a Mr. Potato Head concept, only with magnets. He can switch around the facial features, arms, buttons and knobs, even wire-like tubes to connect from here to there.

I hope it's LOTS and LOTS of fun!!!!!!!!!!!

Very quickly, in keeping with my birthday post tradition...

SEVEN THINGS I LOVE ABOUT TUCKER:

1. Energetic though he may be, he's very affectionate and every quick snuggle is treasured.
2. He has has a blow-you-away imagination.
3. He is a GREAT vacation traveler.
4. He tries sooooo hard at everything he does.
5. He is eager to please.
6. He's brave and willing to try new things.
7. His favorite food has always been cheese. I don't know why, but that just makes me smile.

Love the robot idea! If I ever have one of my DAUGHTERS that's obsessed with robots I'll give that a try. :) Madelyn had a great time. Thank you for thinking of her. And. . . Yesterday at church we must have ended a little early. While we were waiting for Mitchell to swing by for Tucker I said, "Tucker, come here and tell me about your birthday party." He ran over, sat on my lap, and talked non-stop about it. I was cracking up. I wasn't expecting such an enthusiastic report! Then he proceeded to tell me that he was opening more gifts today (Sunday). You could tell he was having a great birthday. You did a wonderful job!

I love the Robot. Will that be the next thing for Etsy? (with a big disclaimer of "small parts - watch your kids!")
