SCHOOOOOOOOOOL!!!

Well, the great day finally arrived! These boys were READY! (and so was their momma) Our summer was getting quite borrr-ing. We do love summer activities and the freedom of the whole day together... but my ability to referee them, get anything done when they can go behind me and mess it up faster, and try to save all my errands to run in the evenings -- only lasts for so long. Selfish, I totally admit. But we all have our individual breaking points. I'm just pretty sure mine comes sooner than most.

Here's the obligatory front door picture. Tucker's happy, I swear, he was just having some squinting issues.

Mitchell (4th grade) was very adamant this year that HE get to pick out his clothes when shopping. (Apparently my abilities were not sufficient?) He absolutely wanted a plaid, button-down shirt. And he was excited to find these "skater" shoes, too. It's funny how this is the first year this has even been an issue... boys just don't usually care. It made me realize how grown up he's becoming!

Ahhhh Tucker. Always willing to "pose."
This kid is an old pro at the school thing. Since he was already at kindergarten all-day last year, he had no issues for the first day, hopped on the bus, no nerves, nothing!

An all-too-quick 6 hours later, they both hopped off the bus literally drenched in sweat and ready to pass out! Who decided to start school so early in the Arizona summer??? Regardless, they are loving their new classes, and I'm loving my easier days again.

Love the new blog header! :)

Shaun has been particular about his clothes for a little while -- even his uniforms! I think it comes with the territory of knowing that girls are paying attention to the boys, even if the boys don't yet admit they're paying attention to the girls! ;)

So glad the first days of school went well! How did Cooper react to his big brothers being MIA? Jonathan was so lonely without Caren and Colt!

Fun pics. What do you think of Struble so far. I know Madelyn sat at Tucker's table at the beginning but I think they got new assignments--especially when she figured out they all knew each other from the ward/stake at that table.

Tucker has so much personality! I love his posing.
So glad for you that life is back into a school routine!
Raegan will be starting preschool in about a week and a half and she just can't wait! Then off to Kindergarten next year, yay!!!!!!!

Plaid must be in because John wanted a plaid shirt too. Your boys are such cuties. I'm glad they had a first day of school - and don't blame you one bit for wanting your easier days!! :)
