But alas! Today I started to turn things around. I had to dig deep, but I did it. Some highlights:
- I have a new theory as to what's wrong with Cooper. By pure accident - or was it divine intervention? - I happened upon something on the internet. It's a long-shot, and I still need to talk to the doctor about it. Maybe I'll be talking to a whole new doctor about it! Today I tried my new theory in his diet and so far it is going well. One day is not much, but I will keep you posted and give more details if it continues.
- Along that same line, I fiddled around with my expensive bag of non-flour "flour," and I made Cooper some pancakes! They had no wheat since I used that nasty weird flour, vinegar + baking powder to substitute for eggs, and rice milk instead of cow's. Then I added pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg to mask the weirdness of it all. They were pretty dang good! He ate them - YAY! Plus there's a bunch more in the freezer for next time.
- I laid low and got a BUNCH of chores done today. I simply cannot function under the smothering of the messes. Ahhhh, feels better.
- Mitchell got to have friends over this afternoon. Everyone had a riot in the backyard for nearly an hour. Nearly an hour of happy kids = nearly an hour of happy Mommy.
- Jason went out at 10 p.m. tonight solely to buy me a big ol' Diet Dr. Pepper. Now I rarely drink soda, but tonight, it's really hitting the spot.

Yeah, yo-yo's aren't always cool. Glad your day is going better, glad Cooper did good today. I'll cross my fingers if you think it was luck and pray if you think it was divine intervention that tomorrow goes well too.
Guys can sometimes be awesome. Chris went out and got me a giant Coke last night. Ahhhhh.
I hope things go well with Coop! And those pancakes sound delicious!!
Here's hoping your upward trend continues!! I hate it when I'm going down. Why can't things at least level out most of the time?!
An inevitable swing following a weekend away, I think! I've had the same experience since getting back from Vegas!
Ooh, I hope you have the thing with Cooper figured out!
I seriously think you should post the pancake recipe. It's hard to make things like that turn out good.
When you were describing the pancakes I realized how crazy this all is for you--no "just add water" cooking. I can't wait to hear your new theory Dr. Amy.
Ah, some break throughs! Love it! Good luck with the new diet theories for Cooper!
And I totally know how you feel about the soda hitting the spot. I have been drinking WAY too much soda lately, especially for a pregnant mama, but Dr. Pepper (and sometimes Cherry Coke) really do taste sooooooo good!! And today especially, the Dr. Pepper was the highlight of my lunch, and maybe even my whole day!
