The Last Stone Unturned

Tomorrow our little Cooper is going in for a colonoscopy. He's had diahrrea for 2 months now that cannot be explained. All the tests they have tried keep coming back normal. He doesn't seem to feel sick or bothered, but the diahrrea still keeps coming. I feel like this is our last chance to find something. But I'm scared for them to find "something."

Today I can only give him clear liquids and laxatives to drink - no food at all for the whole day. I made him some special Jell-O jigglers, I bought him Gatorade and broth. But I can't explain it to him, he just doesn't understand. I'm gearing up for it to be a pretty bad day. It's only 9:45 am and he's already standing at the pantry door crying for something to eat. I don't even want to think about tomorrow yet.

Please, if you have a little time, say a prayer for my baby. Not only that he will be safe under the general anesthesia and comfortable during the recovery, but that we can find a way to help him get better. Thank you - friends and family - and I will keep you updated!

Amy, how scary!! I hope you get through today & tomorrow okay. I'll keep you & Cooper in my prayers. At least he probably won't remember it when he's older, right?!

So sad for a little guy his age to have to deal with that!
Maybe you should keep him busy at the park and things like that today so that food isn't such a big thought.
I'll definitely be thinking of you guys and praying for little Coop!!
Good Luck!

Sheesh, that's hard even for someone that does understand.

I'll remember him...

My nephew had the big D for a really REALLY like time (several months). For a while they thought he might have Celiacs. Eventually he had to have an emergency blood transfusion and they still didn't have an answer. He's been fine ever since and chalk it up to some mystery virus.
