I cannot believe that one year ago I could not wait to get this baby out of me. I did not think the skin on my belly could stretch one teeny bit further. Even my maternity clothes were maxed. I could not walk, sit, or stand for even 90 seconds. I was miserable in every sense of the word, and then some.

Both of my other boys had come early with little to no encouragement. I waited and waited and waited for this guy, but he apparently wanted some turkey dinner via umbilical cord! It was the morning after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, when we finally got to go to the hospital for an induction. (I even gave up SHOPPING for this! Whoa.)
Everything went so quickly and **BLINK** he was here!

Some babies are kinda squished up and weird for the first few days and weeks, but as you can see Scoop was cute right from the first minute!
So tiny in Daddy's big hands! And don't forget the black hair. My babies always looked a little middle-eastern at first....

This one is my favorite.
And then another **BLINK** and I have to make a lousy cake and sing him happy birthday. My last baby. The end of an era. How did this happen?

Though it was the world's most generic lazy-mom cake, he did seem to enjoy it. Here's some time-elapse pictures so you can see how he devoured it. The the whole piece was gone in about about 90 seconds. Then he took the next 15 minutes to slurp the frosting off his fingers and try to gather up every crumb that may have been missed! HAHAHA!

Holy crap, he's so big! That last picture of him especially looks like a little boy, not a baby! From here on out, our kids are pretty much the same age. I have to keep telling myself not to refer to Bekah as "the baby" anymore because she's just not.
When people say "they grow so fast" they really mean it! Just enjoy him. He's still yours a while longer, don't get too sad. ;-)
Where did that year go??? Time really flies when you're havin' fun huh?
Besides June I think he might just be the worlds cutest baby.
What a cutie pie! I seriously can't believe he's one, too. Time really goes faster with each child.
I agree with poor Thanksgiving getting skipped right over...sad. Your crafts were adorable:)
I loved catching up with you Thursday:)
He's such a cute kid--I mean baby, sorry, I know, he's still your baby!
P.S. Cute hair-do on delivery day!
Yay! Happy birthday Cooper! He's such a cutie!!
He is so beautiful. I didn't realize you had to give up shopping to have him...but he's cuter than anything you would have found at the stores anyway.
And yes, I pictured Jacob looking differently than the guy they got. I still can't get enough though. I keep listening to the soundtrack and reliving the moments. It's sad. I should be doing something more productive!
Happy Birthday to Coop! He is just SO CUTE!!!!
He looks so much like Mitchell. Such a cute little boy, and I agree that it feels like a **BLINK** and then they're a year older!! Not fair!!!
Where did the past year go, and why did it take our tiny little babies with it?!
photos courtesy of me!
I'm not gonna lie, your foot looks like it hurts bad!! Mine got swollen too, maybe that's why that picture makes me wince.
What a cute little guy and the year has definitely flown.
