On this day we started off at Disneyland (again) to do a few more things. We had early-entry passes that let us in an hour before the park supposedly opened. It seemed like everyone else had them passes, too, but oh well. First we wanted to ride the new Finding Nemo Submarine. It was calm and cute and well done, but nothing crazy-exciting.

I sat them right up front with a sign that said "Pick Us Jedi Master!"
We crossed our fingers, but warned them that it would still be fun to watch the show even if they did not get chosen. Luckily, BOTH my boys were picked and got to go up and get a cloak and light saber and learn the little battle sequence.
That sea of green sticks is all the kids getting ready to battle the bad guys. The guy on the right (all in black) is Darth Maul and Darth Vadar was up on the stage. I have video of all this, but it's a little long and I'm worried that my average reader would not find it as cute as we, the parents, do. So here is Darth Maul up close. He's the one my kids got to fight. Constantly sneering at the audience, he was pretty scary.
After this, we moved on to the California Adventure park next door. We took the Monorail, but it ended up being kinda pointless. We still weren't dropped off AT Calif. Adventure, and had to walk a huge distance. If they sell these "park-hopper" tickets, I think there should be an easier way to "hop" between the parks. I'm just saying....
That bear mountain thing was kinda cool.
Grandpa didn't join us until a little later this day. But when he did, we all went to Soarin' which was about the best ride this park had for the grown-ups. (I did like the new Toy Story Mania a lot, too.) There were a few other minor highlights, but mostly I would say that Disneyland is much better.
Having a little treat!
Now by the end of this day I was downright SICK. I barely ate any dinner, came back to the hotel and my mom-in-law bought me a bunch of medicine. We all went to bed pretty early but I just lay there shaking, so I knew I had a fever. A while later I threw up all my medicine (fantastic) and still tried to sleep. Somewhere in the night my nose unclogged a bit and I was FINALLY able to breathe (and sleep.) And that, my friends, is how our second day came to a close.

Yeah!!! Good job little Jedis!!! I am SO glad you got picked -- awesome sign! ;-) Would love to see that video -- and more pictures of the whole trip than you've put up! Seriously! :-)
I'm laughing because our Disneyland trip included a special show with all the princesses and dancing with the princesses. Boys are so different than girls! I feel so bad you were so sick. Bummer!!! (Plus, Soarin' is the BEST!)
How awful that you were sick!! That's so cool that they got picked to be Jedis. And that Bear Mountain Splash Ride was my FAVORITE. I could've done it a dozen times!
Fun trip! But BUMMER about being sick. That totally stinks. I hate being sick away from home, and at Disneyland? That just STINKS. Sorry you had to be sick when you could be having so much fun.
Yay for the Jedi's!
I'd have to agree that Disneyland is better than CA Adventures. We went last Sept. with Raegan (pregnant with Sophie) and it seemed that the more fun things to do were in the older park. Go figure.
Sorry you were sick though!!!! That really stinks!! UGH!!
