I felt extra pressure to give Tucker a party with his friends this year. We normally try to do those every-other-year these days, but if you remember back to one year ago, both of these birthdays came immediately after my huge back surgery. So there was no partying to be had. Both of my poor boys got kinda screwed.
This year? Redemption! There were parties galore! First at one grandparents' house...
Then over to the other grandparents' house...
( He was so excited to have cash!)
And then for the big party with his friends.
Tucker really wanted to do a "movie night" where everyone comes over in the late evening
and watches a movie.
Easiest. Party. Ever.
He chose The Adventures of Tintin and I planned a big snack bar.
We had popcorn, soda, M&M's, licorice, and of course cupcakes.
What a wild & crazy group -- at a wild & crazy age.
These parties are LOUD.
But look at those happy faces! How could I complain?
Thank goodness they eventually settled in and enjoyed the show.
And ate like wolves.

Kind of like December birthdays... my poor kids. :) Pretty sure we're doing movie night for Clara's next friend party.
Happy Birthday! I have similar feelings about my little first and her first week of February special day. I'm always thinking...'aw, it's all the way in Feb. I'll plan it then.' and then Feb begins and I'm scrambling.
Love the movie idea - can't wait to use it someday! :)
