Surprise Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was just a little extra fun this year because we surprised the crap out of my parents!

My brother and his family came from out of town and arrived the night before the big meal.  My parents had NO IDEA they were coming, so we all, and I mean ALL of us, ambushed them without warning and started pouring through the front door, letting the surprise people just trickle in at the back of the crowd.  Here's the reaction:

She couldn't believe it.  She just sat there frozen.  And screaming.
It was awesome.

My dad, crying like a baby.

We had a pretty humongous Thanksgiving dinner - 4 tables must be a record for us.  Not to mention this was an utter miracle that I could snap this photo without any people in it.  The house was FULL of grandchildren running in blissful cousin overload for 3 days straight.

I provided some minimal table decor... hee hee.

Later that evening, we dashed over to my in-laws for PIE HEAVEN!

Then we dashed away again so that I could meet up with the girls for some Black Friday mania.

Here we are outside the Toys R' Us at about 2 a.m.
For some of us, it was the 5th (and final) stop that night.  Yowza!

Saturday we got extended family photos done since we finally had everyone together in one place.
Our last photo was in 2006!
-- pictures to follow in another post!

The last event of the weekend was Sunday night.  We invited Jason's parents over for a nice Sunday dinner that ended in an impromptu trip to see the temple lights.  It was a wonderful time to spend with them!

I love how surprised your parents were! And that Thanksgiving group sounds like it was lots of (loud) fun!
