Before and After

Here is the dramatic "before and after" shot...

That looks so much better, doesn't it?

And here's another view of all my new hardware...

Eeek!

It's hard to believe those pictures are really me!  (Did I dream this whole thing?)  But then all I have to do is try to move an inch and I go, "Oh ya, it's real."

Oh my gosh!!! That's an amazing change! Are you going to be setting off metal detectors at the airport?!

That's awesome! What a difference, and I really hope that you'll FEEL that difference in a more positive way very soon!

I second Lindsey's question...metal detectors going to be a problem now?

I actually was wondering if your doctors give you some kind of certificate saying that you're full of metal now for the TSA:) My doctor gave me cards for my wallet with the kind of lens I have in my eyes following cataract surgery. Hopefully, once all your painful recovery is over you will feel so much better.

Um, this is insanity. I am THRILLED at how straight your back is now! I can't wait to hear your stories about the surgery (Linds says you have one that is hysterical) when we come by this week!

I just came across your site through Pinterest, and what a crazy coincidence, I also have 3 boys and have scholiosis. I had my spinal fusion surgery done when I was 15, I'm 31 now. However, I have hardware going all the way up my spine, my curve was at 69 percent. Reading about your recovery just took me down memory lane!
