A Real Conversation from Today

(between myself and the 4-year old)

Mom:  Cooper, I need you to have 4 more drinks of milk.

Cooper:  NOOOO!  Three!

Mom:  Alright, three drinks... and then one more after that.

Cooper:  OK!

And another quick story:  today all five of us were out shopping when an elderly couple stopped me to say what well behaved children I have.  (Note to self:  BEST compliment ever.  Must remember to pass this one along more often!)  We were so proud that Jason promptly gave them each a dollar bill as a small reward for the high praise received.  Later on our way out of the store, Tucker ran over to the Salvation Army bell ringer and shoved his dollar into the collection bin.

Today was a great day to be a mom!

Okay, I just laughed out. And I rarely laugh out loud. Why are kids hilarious?
