Cabin Trip

Once upon a time.... we needed to get out of town. BADLY. Mr. Jason and Ms. Amy required some major stress relief, and fast. When a friend of mine offered the use of her family cabin for a small fee, it was the perfect semi-impromptu and low-budget vacation! We had hoped to make it a snow trip in a winter month, but by the time we found a good weekend to go, it was spring break. We ended up inviting my sister's family to join us, since they had a spring break from law school overlapping that same time, and were just as desperate for the getaway. There was no snow, but the weather was just wonderful!

We lazed around and snacked, read books and watched movies.... the kids just ran and ran. When we kicked them off the video games, they loved playing outside setting traps and hunting for Big Foot.

Mitchell with his cousin Rylee, 3.
These two were constant snuggle buddies.

My niece Kenadee getting a hairdo, her face says it all! HA!
(Sorry I stood on your coffee table, Afton)

Enjoying my evening on the deck.

On the 2nd day, we bought the older kids
their very first cap guns. I wonder if any neighboring residents
hated us at that point?!

Great memories!
My little Cooper slept the first half of the drive home,
and then the 2nd half he cried
THE ENTIRE TIME
because he didn't want to leave!

Looks like so much fun! If I hadn't just spent the week with you also, I'd be complaining about how I wish my kids got to spend so much time with their cousins! ;)

Ditto to Lindsey -- but we didn't just get to see you last week! ;)
