White After Labor Day?

(But now it's a new year, so maybe I can say it's BEFORE Labor Day? Bwahaha)

Either way I don't care - I'm wearing this!

This week I decided to try this tutorial I saw over at "Sew Dang Cute." You've got to go see the original inspiration skirt - it's a teeny little mini! She did a great job adjusting the pattern and the tutorial made it all come together quite easily.

DIFFERENCES: I skipped the tulle under the ruffle, only because I didn't have any! I also didn't use a cargo/khaki as recommended. My fabric was a stretchy knit with some wacko ripple texture to it - what do you call that anyway? - but I think it worked out perfectly for this item! (Thank you Walmart $1.50 table yet again.) The knit meant I didn't have to finish or hem any of the edges of all that ruffle. The final product is insanely comfortable and all the girly ruffly goodness you want while still looking grown-up... I LOVE IT!
