Obsessive Much?

Over the past few days I have noticed a few (very few) tiny sprouts coming out of the dirt in my little garden.

HORRAY! At least now it won't be a total failure!

I go out there all the time and just squat down and stare at them. Will the other empty spots ever sprout? Is it getting enough sun? I should have picked a different spot in the yard. In another month maybe this spot will get TOO MUCH sun.

Last night I dreamed that Martha Stewart came to my backyard and re-did my garden -- not in a good way. She pulled up everything I had planted, and replaced it with new stuff that I didn't want. My nice pine box was gone and replaced with squatty little cardboard boxes all over the place. I was sooooooooo mad at her. Thank goodness it was just a dream.... love ya Martha!

Then today a bunch more rain came. Pouring rain ALL day.

People with garden experience: should I worry about my precious fragile little seeds getting washed away, or drowned? Or does nature take its course and this is no biggie? Please tell me, I really want to know.

Maybe tonight that huge plant from Little Shop of Horrors will come and eat me.

FEED ME, SEYMOUR!

Don't worry about the rain AT ALL. Most places get way way way more rain than this and the gardens do marvelously. Just be happy that when it DOES rain, it means less work for you and less money spent on water!

"Nice plant. BIG!"

I love that movie! I'd give you gardening advice if I knew anything about it.

I love that you dreamt about Martha Stewart! :D

Also, when are you posting another beore/after clean-up? Just want to nag you to keep you going!

And finally, what do you think about making a magic wand for Bekah? I thought with your mad light saber skills, you'd have some ideas. I'd pay you too :)

Sorry I have no gardening advice to give. Actually the only advice I can give is don't be a quitter like me. If things don't work right the first time I try I usually give up. Well Ian and I are going to get a garden going soon and someone I know who is a great gardener told me when things don't grow or work like you plan just smile and think of how to do it differently next time, but never give up on gardening.
