Holiday Sewing

Yep, believe it. I'm STILL sewing.

Sick of hearing about it? sowwwwwy

Don't worry. I've shut the Etsy shop down (pretty much) and am giving myself a rest. After a few days of recuperating, I got to work on some OTHER kinds of things. (Thank goodness!) I don't want to see another toy sword again before I die.

But Christmas stuff, well NOW you're talking...

THIS is the final in the set of "holiday table runners" for my sister-in-law. You can see her other runners for the rest of the year here.

I'm not ga-ga about this snowflake stuff on the back. But it matched very nicely, and it's only the backside. It will have to do. **crossing fingers very tightly**

Moving on.

I was able to use the leftovers of her fabrics to whip out some awesome stockings for another family today. I literally made all of these in about 3 hours. It was a speedy and hasty feat!!! But it made me SOOO happy to get them done and be able to give them away.

The green felt I used for the main part of the boot was dug out of a bag deep in my closet and was rather crumpled. Hence the "wrinkled" look you will see below. A) I'm not sure if you really can/should iron felt and B) I had NO time to worry about it. So aside from the wrinkles, I think they turned out pretty dang cute!

There's even little jingle bells attached right by the strap - FUN!

Oh look, even my decongestant is getting into the Christmas spirit!

I can't believe you have any desire to sew after all those swords. I get burned out too quickly. Kuddos to you and all your awesome Christmas projects. I'm feeling very lazy now!!!

Man you are a busy busy bee. Where do you find the time? I love all of your table runners. I was slightly thinking about making some myself (but only slightly). And I really like the snowflake pattern, I think it's cute and a little retroish.

I am still laughing at the decongestant comment. I love the runner and the stockings. You are amazing. But we already knew that.

You are much faster than I am at sewing! Everything looks great! I adore the loopty loop swirly quilting on the table runner. You do it so well. I just made a hot pad, trying out the same quilting style. My quilting didn't look as good as yours. I decided to do the stipple for the Christmas quilt.

Your posts are not only impressive, but also entertaining. :) I'm missing you right now. And wishing we lived close so you could teach me some of your amazing sewing tricks. One of these days, when I find some time for a project, I may have to come to you for some tips.

Sure love you!
