Bummer

Today I bought 2.5 pounds of "Triple Chocolate Toffee" to put in my bee-YOU-tiful huge Christmas candy bowl. The multi-colors were so pretty, and I knew it would be perfect. Yes, I am festive with my candy.

Got it home, dumped it in there, and popped one of those babies in my mouth.

Why wait? It was chocolate, after all.

It tasted nasty! I couldn't figure it out. I tried all three colors of the chocolates, and every last one of them was gross. My kids came home from school and tried one too. Yep, nasty. How could this be?

I think they are coffee flavored. It's not something I ever drink OR eat anything flavored with, so that must be why the "nasty" taste is so foreign to me. I'm pretty sure that must be the offending factor.

Now WHY, oh why, if you're going to make a coffee-flavored candy, would you not put that in the name, pray tell???? Now I'm out 8 bucks for candy that no one in the house wants to eat. It's not like I can return it!

Anyone have any suggestions for a replacement? Something that looks AND tastes pretty!

P.S. Come over and see my blog's new Christmas makeover! Family pictures are BACK! Yahoo!

I'll eat 'em. (should I have just admitted that?)

Update: Jason says they are NOT coffee. Just naturally gross I suppose? Hmmmm...

Way cute background and photos. Sorry about the candy, though. Lame!

Love the new header and pictures. They look great. Sorry about the candy. There's nothing worse than a chocolate disappointment (actually, I didn't know there was such a thing!).

cute new background Amy! You need to post some more pics of the family so my failing old eyes can see them better (ha!)

My only suggestion is to get rid of the candy and fill the bowl with something better...like chips or pretzels or french fries.

Well, I love the new background and pictures, but that really stinks about the candy. I'd just use bridge mix, myself, but I love nuts.

Cute, cute header! I like it! Fill the bowl with those Lindor chocolates (did I spell it right?), or with m&ms, or chocolate-covered pretzels or chocolate-covered almonds or something! =) Sorry chocolate can be so disappointing. =)

Man that is a bummer. Knowing me I'd probably eat the whole bowl no matter how disgusting they were. My favorite holiday candy is mint M&M's. I've been eating those by the handful this past week. I think my pants are getting tighter.

P.S. Did you get my email?

I've been eating so much crap lately I think I'd be grateful for chocolate that DIDN'T tempt me.

Love your header. The one of your boys holding hands is the best.

Cute new header. Gross candy is lame. Duh, candy should be good. :) For a replacement? You should try the M&M Premiums mint flavored. They are black and a shimmery green and freaking good.
