I got started!
In no particular order of importance, I tackled the linen closet today.
Here is what it looked like BEFORE:
Notice how there is such an overflow of stuff that needs to be JAMMED in there, I just gave up and started piling it on the floor NEXT TO the closet.
Sad, just sad.
But BEHOLD!
A mere 90 minutes later....
Peace and order is restored!
Don't know if you can tell, but there's
SO MUCH MORE SPACE IN THERE.
It feels half empty now.
(What was I thinking? I had to hang onto every old dishtowel since the dawn of time???)
My favorite part is the very bottom where all the games and puzzles go. I decided to line them up vertically across the back (as many as I could), and not only did they fit better, but now it will be easier to take them in and out without having to dig around so much.
Can you even tell the difference?
This is FUN!
And I have breaking news: Hold on to your hats, people! Jason decided to get in on the action, and he spent tonight cleaning out the computer room! You heard that right - WITHOUT being asked.
Miracles never cease.

I love the feeling after cleaning out a closet. You might have inspired me to tackle my master closet. . . something I've been putting off for a couple years.
I'm impressed and loving it! (And I could NEVER keep my games so low...not with the girls this young.) Way to go! I can't wait to see what inspires you next!

Yay for organization! Don't you just feel like you could handle anything knowing that this one little space is totally organized? Also, do you remember the Friends episode where you find out Monica has a a crazy closet that is packed with stuff and completely unorganized and it is her secret shame? This is like the reverse of that...your Monica closet.
Oh I noticed you had a friends game in there. Any fun? Why haven't we played it together yet?
Your closet looks great. I was packing up some of my hall closet (the exact one you cleaned up) and I was feeling sad that I was going to miss having that great big closet. I hope the new house has one similar to it.

I've done a major clean on my hall/linen closet about 3 times now since we've lived here and it just seems to keep getting terribly overstuffed.
