Moving right along to my next topic, which I'll call:
I LOVE CLEARANCE RACKS.
I love shopping. I love going to the mall. But because I'm a major cheapskate, most department stores don't really cater to my.... uh...... price range. So normally I don't feel like I want to spend/waste a lot of time in the "big name" stores looking at stuff I know I want to buy, but shouldn't.
Unless I go straight to the clearance racks.
I do not pass go, I do not collect $200 (I WISH!) I just go straight to the back; that's where they always are. And many times, after I sifted through all of that, I leave. It's just better that way.
Now yes, when shopping like this, you must do a LOT of the above-mentioned "sifting." Clearance racks can be filled with the majority of the junk, the ugly stuff, and so on. But once in a while, the patient and the persistent are rewarded! A diamond in the rough!!! You've gotta kiss a lot of frogs to find your prince, so to speak.
Keep in mind: I could fill up a book showing you the amazing bargains I have found. Lotsa lotsa clothes, including a formal dress (still saving that one for JUST the right occasion,) or kids toys, or many other categories. But to keep this short(er), I will narrow it down to the TREASURE I have come upon for $3.00 or less. Since I'm keeping it to clearance racks and that price range, we're mostly talking shoes and purses. But they were really that cheap. Honest truth! I will explain each one.
This ivory purse I got for 2-something. Kohl's clearance.
These tweed shoes - also Kohl's clearance. They were $2.80.
These pink shoes were $2.00 at Mervyn's!!!
And this pink purse - $3.70 Kohl's clearance.
Sorry it looks so dumpy and worn - I used it a LOT.
This little glass pitcher was $2.50 at Target. It's perfect for small parties! I just love it.
These babies were $1.99 at Old Navy. Kinda simple but fun to have.
For that price, why not?
Also $2.00 from Mervyn's. (Totally different day and sale from the previous Mervyn's purchase.) I also got these in black! They are a little funky,
but with the right outfit... snazzy, wouldn't you say?

Earths Best Organic Infant formula- $4 a can. Cheaper than generic! Wish we could of used it. Glad that Coop enjoyed them though.
I really wish I could shop like you; I don't think I have the patience.
I love all your shoe and purse finds. Awesome! Those black sparkly ones would look great with a pair of long, sexy jeans! ;)
Now here's where I lack. . . I'm not a sifter. . . sometimes, but I have to be in the mood--and have no kids with me. So that basically never happens. Kuddos to you for such awesome finds. Maybe you've inspired me to spend a couple extra minutes at the clearance racks!
Sounds like we shop the same way... straight to the clearance rack. However, I have never found shoes that cheap. Well, flip flops don't count. My best bargains are shirts... I'm good at finding good deals on shirts. Which is probably why I have way too many. :)

Your awesome! I am pretty cheap myself, always looking for a bargin or returning out of buyers remorse that I spent too much on something full price:) I LOVE walmart Professionals shampoo, made as a generic form of the expensive salon stuff! I am always checking the clearance racks. And yes, much be patience, have NO children and have some time to browse:) But, I think you win, these are great steals!
Man, those are some good deals!!
I hear that if you shop Ross you can get equally as good of a deal. I just have never had the patience to shop Ross for any such good deal, I hate sifting through crap to find "the diamond in the rough" when I've always got my babies with me.....not fun at all!!
Maybe I'll have more time for this kind of shopping around once the munchkins are in school all day. (20 more days - but who's counting?)
