A Nifty Find

I did a little wandering the other day. "Wandering" as in, I visited a second-hand store that I kinda like. I don't go there often, but when I do, they always have good stuff. That day in particular I found a real steal! A Little Tykes police car (the kind you drive like the Flintstones). It was a little faded from age but otherwise just fine. Only TEN BUCKS. Cooper pulled me aside and told me he really wanted it. He did. So I bought it.

When the big boys got home from school they were overjoyed to see my new purchase. I think Tucker likes it more than Coop! Twice now Mitch has attempted to squish his 8-yr old self in there... to no avail. But they did get straight to work wiping it down for me with antibacterial wipes.

Then we were ready to play! Cooper can't maneuver anywhere just yet, but he loves to be pushed around in the thing. His big brothers have been willing volunteers for this task. It's too cute to watch! Also, this morning I discovered that our police car works almost like a play-pen. I needed to empty the dishwasher (and needed Cooper to stay out of that business of course) so I stuck him in there and he (perfectly happily) still hasn't moved for almost an hour! Now THAT'S a good ten bucks.

That is a good deal! Can't beat a toy that everyone loves and keeps baby out of your way. Yay!!

Clara LOVES those cars and what a bargain! I'm not even sure you can be a "real family" until you own one of those little tykes cars.

So jealous! Bekah played with one at a friend's house during the super bowl and she didn't want to get out of it!

OH! OH! OH! I really need a police car playpen. Through the four kids we have never gotten one of those kinds of cars. I wonder why. . .
