Halloween Fun - Part 2

We started off the day bright and early for the Kindergarten Storybook Parade. The kids were asked to dress as a character from a favorite book. So as to not have to come up with ANOTHER costume, I went and found Tucker a Three Musketeers book! hee hee, lazy mom.

I arrived at the school 10 minutes before the parade was to begin, but I guess it wasn't soon enough! Tucker's class was already marching outside! His teacher had put him in some crappy old half-of-a-costume just so he wouldn't feel left out. He was so worried that I had "forgotten" him! ACK!!! So we sprinted back to the classroom, changed clothes, and ran back outside just in the knick of time! Tucker absolutely LOVED the parade. It was hilarious to see him bursting with ego-maniac pride! (I think he thought he was the only one there.)

Here he is, working the crowd.

After a quick errand, a nap for Cooper, and lunch for both of us, we were back at the school for Mitchell's class party in the afternoon. They did some fun crafts and games, and Mitch really enjoyed having me and the baby there. (He's always begging me to come!) This little classmate, who some of you may recognize, insisted on being in my picture...

...and Cooper kept himself nicely entertained by trying to eat the plastic bugs.

Later that night after Daddy got home from work, the usual trick-or-treating commenced around the neighborhood. They walked around for about an hour (until their feet were tired) while I answered our door back at home. You've already seen them plenty of times by now, but here's another one anyway:

SOMEBODY was a little scared of our plug-in glowing pumpkin on the front porch! He wasn't really "feeling it" when it came to his individual pictures.

Oh you were definitely smart to find a Three Muskateers book. I'd write it myself before I'd make another costume!! :)

I don't blame you at all for not making a second costume. Plus, they are such awesome costumes!

With such awesome costumes, I'd be getting as much use out of them too! I LOVE the pic of Tucker "working the crowd!" : )

Our days sound like duplicates of each other. I love the three musketeers and pointed out Tucker's costume to some of the Mom's I was sitting by. I told them you had two other boys and they were all the three musketeers. They loved it! Nice work!

Isn't Halloween the greatest? I'm a little sad it's over. I love the treats you made with your activity girls.

You're the best mom ever! I still think you're taking on too much.

Amy did all this plus costumes for her niece and nephew and all during my two 60 hour work weeks.

Looks like my kids wont ever have to make their capes out of garbage bags for their dracula cape. (yeah i did that one year.)

I love the costumes. You did a great job on them! I wish my boys would let me dress them in a similar fashion...they are too particular about what they want to wear. Sigh.
