I have made a blanket for each of my younger boys when I was pregnant with them, and now it is their special blankie. Unfortunately, back when I was having Mitchell, I hadn't yet learned the fine art of this super-simple "blankie-making." So through the years, he didn't have one like the others, though it was not intentional!!! Recently he told me he wanted a fluffy blanket with the ties that he can wrap up in, just like Tucker's. So how could I say no? It's about time, Mom.
We finally found him some totally cute flannel that wasn't too babyish. He chose solid brown for the other side. A little zoom zoom on the machine, and TA DA --
Mitchell's Pirate Blanket!

Hooray!! I don't see the ties though. Where do you have those? That looks like a super comfy blanket and I love the pirate material. :)
Hurrah for Mitchell! :-)
What a nice mommy you are! Cute blanket.
I have a blanket story to tell you (I'll do it in an email later) about the blanket you made for Jonathan at his baby shower (you were sick and couldn't come, but sent the blanket with someone else). Anyway . . . I'll track down your email and tell you the story.
I didn't see the ties either, how do they work? Tell me your secret!!
I love that fabric. It turned out very cute.
Poor Mitchy!
Glad he finally got his very own "blankie"
Great job! Looks like a very happy Mitchell! :)
