Take Me Out...

...To The Ballgame!

Lucky us: we got invited to join our friends at the Diamondbacks game Friday night. They had the BEST SEATS behind home plate (below, see amazing picture of our view!) The game was scoreless and went into extra innings, when finally somebody hit a home run and we won! Afterwards there was a special Friday the 13th fireworks show, all set to spooky music like Psycho, Jaws, Twilight Zone, Thriller, etc. That was an extra special finish to a great night out. Thanks guys!

Now for the stupid part of the story. To get to the game, Jason and I met about halfway (him coming from work and me coming from home) and we left one car in a shopping center so we could drive downtown the rest of the way together. Coming back, we got talking and enjoying our conversation and...... whoops! We got 99% of the way home before we realized that we forgot to stop and get our other car! There goes another hour, back-tracking to retrieve it at 11:30pm. We were VERY sorry to keep the grandparent-babysitters out so late because of the extra-long game, then fireworks, and then the car mishap. But thanks a million for watching our boys!

I'm not a sports fan and never watch any kind of games on television, but for some reason going to an actual game is different. Going to baseball, basketball, football games is lots of fun.

I love the atmosphere of spectator sports (most of the time). That stinks about the car. We've done that before and a few times, we've even just left the car until the next day (although it was at my parent's and not in a random parkigng lot).

Amy we have done that with our car too. (only usually its on a babysitter tab) And after reading the comments it looks like we are in good company. It always feels good to have strength in numbers.

I LOVE GOING TO BASEBALL GAMES. I love everything about it... even slow games are ok... maybe because it might be the only time I actually really sit.. jk... How fun for you...

Lucky for us we don't often have a situation that would require us to drive seperate.
Sounds like a fun evening. Wish we could've gone to the game!
