Yes, I had massive hair back then. It was 1989, trust me, this was cool.
Fast forward to senior year at Dobson High School. We had a Desert Biology class together and he sat right in front of me. Amy, being the seminary council member goodie-goodie, tried a few times to re-activate Jason in the seminary program. Jason and his 3 earrings signed something very generic and obnoxious in my yearbook. You can tell we were destined for eternity, yes?

Our Senior Pictures. Funny how we both look so serious!

Fast forward a few more years. Jason took out his earrings, got serious about his testimony and served a faithful mission. I completed 2 years at MCC, 1 year at BYU, and got my heart broken by some other punk. I was home and working for the summer when we both attended the singles ward one Sunday. We ran into each other, got talking, Jason got flirting, and we started dating the whole summer.
Skinny Jason! We both look like babies!
When fall came, Jason was enrolled at MCC and I was headed back to BYU. We weren't apart too long before we got engaged. Then eight(8) INSANELY long, expensive-long-distance-phone-bill months later, we were married in the Mesa Temple. That was in 1997.

Fast forward 11 years to today. Jason has made my life so good. He is so smart, so fun, and so kind. Everywhere he goes, people like him. He sacrifices for me every day. He's the most "hands on" Dad I've ever met. Most of all, he loves me despite all of.... well, me. I'm sitting here in our comfortable home with 3 wonderful boys running around me. How could I ask for more? Happy Anniversary Honey! I love you!

Congratulations! 11 years is awesome!
What was your job for Seminary Council? I was secretary. :)
Love the hair, by the way. You weren't kidding when you told me you did the hairspray thing, too. Wowie!
AAAWWWWWWWWW!!!!!

Happy Anniversary! It's funny to look back at those pictures of Jason as a kid; they're much more familiar to me than the ones of him as an adult :) We will get to celebrate our 11th this year too (December) and it's amazing how funny time is that way. 11 yrs sounds like a long time, but sometimes I feel like the time has just flown by!
Congratulations! Fun pictures. You look no bigger than Mitchell in that picture of Jason holding you. And I can't believe how much of Mitchell I see in Jason's Senior picture, it's scary!
Happy Aniversary! Loved looking at the pictures.
Ok, so that first picture of you brought back so many memories! I know I had that picture and probably put it up in my room to "honor" my most beloved pen-pal. I love it! And I love reading the history of you and Jason. Surprisingly, I'm not sure I've ever heard that whole story. It's a great one!!
I love seeing past pictures. And I love your story. You two just took a while to. . . uh. . . get things going! Not everyone has sparks flying the first time. You two are so awesome.
That was really cute. Happy Anniversary. This is anniversary time. It seems like about 10 couples have their anniversary this week. I guess that is what happens when students get married. The week after school gets out there is a swarm. I hope it was great.
That was a beautiful post! Happy Anniversary to you both!
Very sweet!! You two are adorable! Especially with your 80's/early 90's hair.
Happy Anniversary!! Hope you get to do something fun!! Or did something fun!
That is the coolest thing ever. I got kinda teary too.
Totally awesome to read the story of your meeting, courtship and marriage. A Happy anniversary to both of you! BTW this is Jason's Aunt Karen...I'm married to his Dad's twin, Bill.
So sweet, you made me cry! Happy Anniversary. I am so happy you two got together. I love that we're such good friends--you're a truly wonderful sister; we'll just drop the in-law part because it doesn't pertain to us! :) I love you two!
This is so sweet! I love seeing all the pictures. Congratulations!!! :)
