Scissor happy

Last week on a total whim, I decided to go get a haircut while Tuck was in preschool. It was very relaxing to just have the baby and go treat myself. However, without an appointment, I just went to a very cheap place that shall remain unnamed (I know, I know.... keep reading.) So she styled it for me and I looked nice and I left there quite happy. For the next 2 days though, I couldn't get it to "lay right." I thought I was just inept at styling it. Thought I couldn't reach to the back very well, or thought my natural curl was just fighting me too much. It looked plain WEIRD. By the fourth day I knew it was a crappy haircut. Jason, sensing my distress, encouraged me run out at the last second Saturday night (without an appointment again) and try to get it fixed. I met a WONDERFUL stylist at the mall and she fixed me up soooooo well. We changed the style a tad, but it looks mucho better. Once she got it wet and really could look at it, turns out my first haircut was really messed up indeed. Yay, it wasn't just me! In the end I had to pay twice as much, so I learned my lesson. Cheap salons = never worth it. Sorry, I do not have a good picture of the new do just yet. I guess you'll see it on here eventually!

I saw it on Sunday and it does look cute! I learned my lesson with the cheapo places too. The girl used her thinning shears on me and chopped my hair all up. It ended up looking like a big fuzzball - eew! I'd rather pay $35 for a haircut and not look like I have an afro. :)

LOL! I understand the haircut dilemas. I'm so nervous to go to anyone else besides Brooke, yet I know she can't do my hair any more--famous people don't usually go back to their day jobs, do they?! I guess I'll have to spend more than $20 now! :P

There is something to be said for paying a little more to spare yourself the grief. I'm glad you were able to get it fixed...and yes, we need to see a picture!!! Hand Jason the camera when he gets home - please. My crystal ball isn't working this week.

cheap places like that have a happy guarantee. If it really was a bad job they should have fixed it for free. I've had to do that before in tucson.

How sad!!! I'm glad you got it fixed though!
A bad cut is never a fun thing.

Your hair looks great. A month ago I went to get my hair cut with your exact style in mind, but obviously there was a miscommunication with the stylist because it looks nothing like your hair style. It wasn't a bad cut so I'll wait another month or two before I get it cut again, but I hope you don't mind if I have the same style as you? This time I'm taking in a picture of what I want. Mostly I just want no hair on the neck during the summer.
