Happy Easter

We had a wonderful easter morning here at our house. It was filled with good food, good fun, and good news.

Good food: What's on the plate today? Quite literally, a special breakfast of monkey bread! I got a great recipe that you can make the night before, and just throw it in the oven in the morning. So we ate gooey sugary yum-ness after our easter egg hunt.

Good fun: I just had to include this picture of the boys as they came around the corner to see their baskets. Tucker's little face was quite a hoot. Next they found all the eggs hidden in the family room. The easter bunny knows not to leave them outside or all the chocolate will melt! (Although I think this morning we might have been safe.) It would have been fun to utilize the new grass. Maybe next year he will consider it!

Good news: I got a call in the middle of the night saying that my sister Kim went into labor, so today we also have a new easter baby! Apparently she started having pains at 2:10 am, and they were 2 minutes apart right off the bat. She hurried and got herself together, got her husband home (he works graves) and someone there to stay with the other kids, and they RUSHED to the hospital. They were only there about 15 minutes, no doctor and no epidural, only nurses in the room who were trying to start an IV and do some paperwork. Kim started screaming that she needed to push, couldn't stop, etc. The nurses peeled back the covers only to see that baby slide right out onto the bed. It was 3:18 am. Her entire labor was barely over an hour. Can you believe it!?

Here is my new neice -- 6 lbs. 13 oz. 19 1/2 inches long. Her name is not 100% confirmed, so I will not say just yet, just in case!

I'm glad you had a good Easter!
And thanks for posting pics of the new baby.
I got a call this morning around 9:30 so I at least knew the blessed news already.
She's a cutie! And Kim's a trooper!

What a memorable Easter! And it sounds like you had a fun Spring Break, too! Your boys are cute! I can't believe it's already getting hot there, when the snow is just melting here! It's good to hear from you! =)
